Plastic bags and films are not recyclable curbside, so residents are encouraged to bring clean and dry bags to the collection bins available at many supermarkets. Additionally, there are collection sites managed by Zero Waste Salem volunteers at: 

– City Hall Annex, 98 Washington St, 1st floor

– Salem Public Library, 370 Essex St, 1st floor (right of the main entrance)

– Community Life Center, 401 Bridge St
