DESCRIPTION:Don’t throw away your broken item – bring it to the Repair Café!  SalemRecycles will be hosting a Repair Café on Saturday\, November 8 from 9am-12 noon at the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street.  Appointments are required and walk-ins will not be accepted. Pre-registration is required via link\, stay tuned for updates or email salemrecycles@gmail.com. \nRepair volunteers at this event will be available to mend clothing\, sew buttons\, and tinker with or rewire electronics and lamps. Please keep in mind these services may change as we confirm volunteers. We hope to see you at this fun event where you can learn how to fix things and reduce your waste! \nTERRACYCLE — We’re collecting FOUR TerraCycle brigades of otherwise hard-to-recycle items. Please keep each TerraCycle stream separate.\n** Swiffers: All used\, dried Swiffer pads.\n** Razors: All brands of reusable and disposable razors\, blades & cartridges\, as well as any flexible or rigid plastic packaging they come in.\n** Dental Care: Non-electric toothbrushes\, toothpaste tubes\, & floss containers. All brands\, plus toothbrush packaging.\n**Brita: Brita dispenser\, Brita pitchers\, Brita bottles\, Brita standard filters\, Brita Stream filters\, Brita bottle filters\, Brita filter packaging\, Brita Longlast® filters\, Brita Stream® pitchers.\n\nIMPORTANT CHANGE: No deodorant or mouthwash bottles accepted as of January 1\, 2025. Please place mouthwash bottles with cap on into curbside recycling carts.

Look for SalemRecycles volunteers and the Helpsy truck on:\n\nSaturday\, November 22 from 8:00AM – 1:00PM\nSalem High School\, 77 Willson St Salem\, MA (new location!)\n\n\nTEXTILE DROP OFF — clothing\, sneakers\, shoes\, boots\, slippers\, belts\, ties\, purses\, stuffed animals\, comforters\, sheets\, blankets\, table linens\, and curtains.\nANY CONDITION — as long as clean\, dry\, odor-free. Can be new and reusable\, old and moth-eaten\, stained\, torn or damaged\, broken belt\, single sock or shoe.\nPLEASE\, NO — fabric scraps\, carpet\, rugs\, pillows\, bric-a-brac\, oil rags\, wet or mildewed items.\nClick here for more details.\n\nTERRACYCLE — TerraCycle recycles many items that cannot be recycled curbside\, and would otherwise end up as trash.
