DESCRIPTION:SalemRecycles Free Book Swap returns to the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street on Saturday\, September 21\, 2024 from 10:00am-1:00pm! Swapping isn’t necessary — you may donate\, take away\, or both.\nIn addition to books\, the swap accepts CDs\, DVDs\, video games\, records (all in original cases\, please)\, plus puzzles\, greeting cards\, and cloth reusable bags! All items must be clean\, dry\, and mildew free. Sorry\, no magazines or VHS and cassette tapes.\n\n\nTO DONATE\, please drop off at the Community Life Center on Friday\, September 20th from 4:00-7:00pm\, or Saturday\, September 21st from 9:00am-noon.\nAll leftover materials will be donated or recycled.\n\n\n\n\nHere’s what we are collecting for TerraCycle items: \n\n– SWIFFERS: save all used\, dried Swiffer pads. \n– RAZORS: save all brands of reusable and disposable razors\, blades\, & cartridges\, as well as any flexible or rigid plastic packaging they come in. \n– ORAL CARE: Toothbrushes\, toothpaste tubes\, mouthwash bottles\, and floss containers. Save all brands\, plus toothbrush packaging. \n– DEODORANT: All brands of deodorant containers and caps. \n–BRITA:  Brita dispenser\, Brita pitchers\, Brita bottles\, Brita standard filters\, Brita Stream filters\, Brita bottle filters\, Brita filter packaging\, Brita Longlast® filters\, Brita Stream® pitchers. \nIMPORTANT UPDATE: TerraCycle has ended the RUBBERMAID collection as of December 31\, 2023. These items will no longer be accepted.
