The event will be a drive through event at 401 Bridge St\, Salem’s Community Life Center from 9am-1pm on January 8th. Please only bring rigid white expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam); no packaging peanuts or food service containers\, such as meat trays\, clamshells\, or Styrofoam cups can be accepted. While Styrofoam cannot be recycled curbside\, Save That Stuff has densifiers that can process the material for recycling. We’re excited to offer residents a way to sustainably dispose of all the Styrofoam they may have received from the holiday season.

This year\, our event will be at a new location\, the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge St.  The Cafe is a gathering of skilled volunteers who will repair and restore your broken items\, keeping them from the waste stream. Salem residents only\, please\, at this free event. \n* Event is 9:00-noon\, last appointment 11:30 at the CLC (401 Bridge St)\n* Appointments required\, no walk ins will be accepted. Email mguglielmi@salem.com for an appointment\n* SALEM RESIDENTS ONLY\n* Masks must be worn at all times during this event\n* Repair one or two items (more if time allows)\nREPAIRS INCLUDE: Sewing by hand or machine (mend\, patch\, darn\, buttons — sorry\, no hems or alterations). Sharpen scissors & knives. Tinker with and rewire electronics and lamps; no TVs. Vacuum repair\, computer diagnostics\, ceramics gluing\, & basic jewelry repair. Furniture and wood gluing and repair. Nearly anything that can be fixed with adhesives or fasteners\, such as basic shoe repair. \nBRING WITH YOU: Replacement item such as new zipper or electric cord/plug.
