DESCRIPTION:Wednesday March 20th: \n\nFree Waste Reduction Assistance- Want to reduce waste at your business?  We’ll have a Waste Reduction Consultant from RecyclingWorks doing on-site waste assessments for participating businesses on March 20th\, 2024.  Assessments take about 30-45 min and will include a summary report and ongoing customized guidance to help you start or improve waste reduction programs. Fill out the registration form here to get on the schedule: https://recyclingworksma.com/getassistance/ (Space is limited so please register by March 6th!)\n\nFriday March 22nd: \n\nSalem State University Zero Waste Swap: Event will take place from 10 am – 1:30 pm at the Ellison Campus Center (ECC) Alumni Plaza. (Rain location is ECC Martin Luther King\, Jr. room).  Drop items off at ECC lobby from 12:30 – 6:00 pm on Thursday March 21st or bring items to the event on Friday. DESCRIPTION:SalemRecycles Free Book Swap returns to the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street on Saturday\, March 23\, 2024 from 10:00am-1:00pm! Swapping isn’t necessary — you may donate\, take away\, or both.\nIn addition to books\, the swap accepts CDs\, DVDs\, video games\, records (all in original cases\, please)\, plus puzzles\, greeting cards\, and cloth reusable bags! All items must be clean\, dry\, and mildew free. Sorry\, no magazines or VHS and cassette tapes.\n\n\nTO DONATE\, please drop off at the Community Life Center on Friday\, March 22 from 4:00-7:00pm\, or Saturday\, March 23 from 9:00am-noon.\nAll leftover materials will be donated or recycled.\n\nTo Volunteer (Friday and/or Saturday): Register Here\n\n\nHere’s what we are collecting for TerraCycle items: \n\n– SWIFFERS: save all used\, dried Swiffer pads. \n– RAZORS: save all brands of reusable and disposable razors\, blades\, & cartridges\, as well as any flexible or rigid plastic packaging they come in. \n– ORAL CARE: Toothbrushes\, toothpaste tubes\, mouthwash bottles\, and floss containers. Save all brands\, plus toothbrush packaging. \n– DEODORANT: All brands of deodorant containers and caps. \n–BRITA:  Brita dispenser\, Brita pitchers\, Brita bottles\, Brita standard filters\, Brita Stream filters\, Brita bottle filters\, Brita filter packaging\, Brita Longlast® filters\, Brita Stream® pitchers. \nIMPORTANT UPDATE: TerraCycle has ended the RUBBERMAID collection as of December 31\, 2023. These items will no longer be accepted.
