DESCRIPTION:On Saturday June 24th from 8 am – noon\, Salem residents & property owners (with ID or tax bill) can recycle e-waste at Salem High School\, 77 Willson St. Anything with a plug is accepted at the event.  \nPlease bring cash or check for items that include a twenty-dollar fee. These items include: T.V.’s\, computer monitors\, microwaves\, large exercise equipment\, and appliances that contain Freon. \nIf your item is still in good working condition\, consider donating it via one of the local Buy Nothing pages or other swap groups. \n  \nEWaste 2023

DESCRIPTION:The Cities of Salem and Beverly are partnering once again to host Styrofoam Collection Day on Saturday\, June 24 from 10:00am – 1 PM.\nHold on to your Styrofoam – the company “Save That Stuff” will collect it to recycle!\nThis will be a drive-through event at the Mayor Jean Levesque Community Life Center\, 401 Bridge Street in Salem. Residents of Salem and Beverly may participate.\nPlease bring only rigid white expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam).\n\nNo packaging peanuts or food service containers\, such as meat trays\, clamshells\, or Styrofoam cups can be accepted.\nWhile Styrofoam cannot be recycled curbside\, Save That Stuff has densifiers that can process the material for recycling.\n\nWe’re excited to offer residents a way to sustainably dispose of their Styrofoam!\n\nFor more info\, contact Janelle Rolke at jrolke@salem.com or (978) 619-5672.
